Iko3a is now distribued as shareware. Libiko is an utility to create and use icons libraries. See under how register to keep out nag screens. SHAREWARE IKO3a and LIBIKO are shareware. The modest price for a shareware is not a way to make money but a help to the development of new applications. Programming needs tools, material, and documentation. Shareware price is small relative to the uses you can get from it. The price include the two softwares. They cann't distributed separatly. Print the registration form at the end of this file. DISTRIBUTION This softwares, in the shareware versions, can be distributed on a royalty free basis with the totality of the includes files, not altered in any way. IKO3A.OPA LIBIKO.OPA IKO3A.HLP IKO3A.TXT and the sample *.IKO et *.IKL INSTALL Copy IKO3A.OPA and LIBIKO.OPA in a directory \APP on any drive. Create a directory \APP\IKO3A on the same drive and copy inside IKO3A.HLP and LIBIKO.HLP (optional). Install icons in the system screen (Psion+i). Copy the sample files *.IKO and *.IKL in a directory \IKO. INTERFACE The screen shows on the left the enlarged picture, on the top the black plane, the grey plane, and the final icon. In the midle you can see the x and y cursor position, line tickness, the selected plane with the diamond key. On the rigth, you can see a buttons bar. The buttons names are function of the mode used. If you press on key to sroll, te buttons (Draw) and (Erase) are disabled. When one plane only is selected (with the diamond key), any function is disabled on the other. You can scroll one plane only to build 3d effects, invert one plane, and write on grey or black plane. Excepted: the "Turn" option (Flip or Mirror) is active on the two planes. To preserve system memory and increase draw speed close any unused application. Warning : the exit is not disabled. If you use it, without saving, you loose all changes in your picture ! AVANDCED USE With Iko3a you can : - option with +Z. Iko3a store the picture in a buffer until the use of a new tool or a new function. Warning: you cann't use this option if you press twice on , or . - revient … la derniŠre version sauvegard‚e si elle existe. If you are working on a new file, the picture is empty and this use clear the icon ! - options, ( +c and +i ) can be also used to preserve a plane. This option can be also used to add to planes from a PC. Use WSPCX or other to convert in PCX your PIC files. LOAD PICTURE You can load any picture to cut inside a square of 48x48 pixels as new icon. You can use the SCREENPIC hard copy screen function to import any icon from an existing application. Install it in the system screen and press +++S. The picture of the existing screen is stored in the SCREEN.PIC file in the root of the internal drive. In the selector files use key and arrows to go in the root or any other directory. To preserve space memory, delete SCREEN.PIC file (19 Ko) after use. If you wish import icon from a IKL library created with LIBIKO use + to scroll exactly for 48 pixels. See under LIBIKO program infos. USING OLD S3 ICONS The size of this ol icons is 24x24 pixels. But they are displayed like 48x48 on the S3a system screen. CUSTOMISE HELP FILE The help fileS are .DBF files. You can use any database to edit and customise them. Take care to don't create too long text lines for dialog boxes. IKO3a VERSION 4.4 a This version is the first english version. The french version is actually 4.4 f. LIBIKO version 2.4 a "LIBIKO" is a small utility, to create or read 9*3=27 icons libraries. In IKO3a this libraries are exactly centred with the "Load picture" option. In IKO3a, the IKL extension is the default extension to load a picture. With + you can scroll exactly for 48 pixels. The Libiko files are bitmaps of 15584 octets, with 2 planes, with a size of 9*48=432 x 3*48=144 pixels. You can also use LIBIKO separatly, without Iko3a, (you can import, but also extract, icons) but this application works (by default) in the IKO directory. SOME NUMBER Iko3a and Libiko are... about 2200 lines of programs, 100 procedures and a lot of night work... PROTECTION Reverse engineering, using REVTRAN or any other software, is prohibited. WARNING : This software is protect against reverse engineering. Reverse engineering can give random unpredictable results !
